Perhaps you’re new to Bangkok, or new to Christianity - and you have decided to come along to Christ Church. Welcome!
Before long, you might ask yourself…
- How do I connect and feel part of what is going on?
- How will I feel that sense of community that I need?
- How will this group of people help me to continue to grow as a Christian?
At Christ Church, we encourage everyone to connect by joining a small group. There are a number of small groups which meet weekly for fellowship, Bible study and prayer.
Members of the group walk with each other on their faith journeys - encouraging and supporting each other. We build friendships in the groups that are crucial to our walk with Jesus.
Small Groups (which are either mixed or specific in terms of age, gender and life stage) are an essential building block of our life together here at Christ Church.
Our small groups exist for the following 5 purposes:
- Belonging – a place to be me. Where I can be known and where I know others.
- Caring – a place of openness and safety. Where prayer and mutual support take place in unthreatening ways.
- Discipling – a place of learning. Where we encourage each other to apply the Bible in our lives.
- Serving – a place of ministry. Where we discover our gifts and encourage each other to use them to serve others.
- Growing – a place of growth. Where we seek to reach out and welcome others to join us.
In other words, small groups help people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ by helping them find Biblical community in each group.
Small groups meet in and around Christ Church at various times of the week.
If you would like to get involved, a full listing of small groups that are currently running within the life of Christ Church is available from Rev Peter Cook, or Manik Corea on ministries@christchurchbangkok.org or at the church office.
